Social Creatives created its first ever public murals in Kathmandu Nepal as well as exhibiting its past works.
Five-‐year old local arts social enterprise, Social Creatives, which does public murals and void deck art galleries, has been invited by Sattya Media Arts Collective to paint murals and create street art at Kathmandu Nepal. Social Creatives sent an Artist team of 10 people to create a total of 10 public artworks. These artworks will be a mixture of artistic expressions, collaboration with local Nepali artists as well as community engagement artworks. To maximize outreach, a Delegates Team joined in the programme The artists will partake in a series of collaborative workshops, discussions and curatorships. During their mural making, 50 artworks of Social Creatives will be exhibited. This is the first time Social Creatives painted in another country in Asia, and second time painting overseas. In October 2011, Social Creatives was invited to paint a mural inline with the National Mural Symposium held in Toronto, Canada. |
